Role Overview
We are looking for a strategic and results-oriented EMEA Senior Business Development Manager to lead expansion efforts in Europe and the Middle East, , with a primary base in the UK. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of growing B2B partnerships and government opportunities in the education or EdTech (Training and Certification) sector and will thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
You’ll be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, forming strategic partnerships, and increasing our market presence internationally, particularly within education authorities, school networks, ministries, and corporate training providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure strategic partnerships with schools, corporate training B2B organizations, educational institutions, resellers, and government organizations across international markets.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to closing, in collaboration with marketing and product teams.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities using CRM tools.
- Lead proposals, RFPs, and contract negotiations with new partners and key accounts.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to tailor campaigns to local markets and increase lead conversion.
- Represent the company at international trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Report on KPIs, sales goals, and growth strategies to senior leadership on a regular basis.
- Support the onboarding and training of new partners and distributors.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in business development, international sales, or strategic partnerships, in the EdTech, education, training or certification industries.
- Based in the UK with the ability to travel internationally.
- Proven success in building new markets and client relationships in education (particularly in Europe and MENA).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
- Comfortable working across different time zones and cultures.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a strong plus (e.g. Spanish, Danish, Swedish, German, Arabic).
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, initiative, and accountability.
- Familiarity with education systems, procurement processes, and digital learning solutions is highly desirable.
