Digital Architect

The purpose of this exam is to assess a candidate’s proficiency in designing and implementing comprehensive digital solutions. Candidates are expected to have a strong foundation in writing and troubleshooting programs, database design and querying, network configuration, and cybersecurity. They should also be adept at creating scalable digital blueprints, leveraging cloud platforms, developing mobile-friendly designs, and applying professional ICT practices. Candidates are required to have at least 200 hours of combined instruction and hands-on experience with digital solution design before taking the exam. Achieving certification demonstrates the candidate’s competency at an industry-standard level, indicating readiness to lead digital innovation and serving as a valuable benchmark for hiring managers.

Objective Domains

Unit 1 – Programming Fundamentals

• Write and troubleshoot basic programs in a modern programming language, demonstrating logic, sequencing, variables, conditionals, and loops.

Unit 2 – Database Design and Querying

• Design and query relational databases using structured queries to organize data efficiently and generate meaningful reports.

Unit 3 – Network Configuration

• Understand and simulate network configuration tasks, including IP addressing, subnetting, and selecting appropriate hardware and protocols.

Unit 4 – Cybersecurity Principles

• Explain and apply cybersecurity measures, such as data encryption, firewalls, role-based access control, and identifying system vulnerabilities.

Unit 5 – Digital Solutions Architecture

• Analyze real-world problems and design comprehensive digital solutions that incorporate user needs, system design, and scalability.

Unit 6 – Cloud Platforms and Virtualization

• Demonstrate proficiency in using cloud-based platforms and services, including deploying applications, managing user access, and understanding virtualization principles.

Unit 7 – Mobile-Friendly Design

• Evaluate and create mobile-friendly designs focused on user experience (UX), screen responsiveness, and mobile technology constraints.

Unit 8 – Professional ICT Practices

• Apply effective teamwork, thorough documentation, and clear technical presentation skills while engaging in continuous digital collaboration.
