Washington is at the forefront of technology education, with programs designed to align with industry needs in cloud computing, web technologies, and cybersecurity.
The Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) includes Knowledge Pillars’ credentials on its State‑Approved Industry‑Recognized Credentials (IRC) list. In the current CEDARS manual (v18.3, January 2026) they appear as:

Washington districts can:
claim state CTE funding for students who earn approved Knowledge Pillars Certifications
use it as evidence that a CTE course “leads to an Industry‑Recognized Credential” for graduation‑pathway purposes; and
report student attainment via CEDARS elements D17 / E15 / H31.
