LPI is a set of certifications mainly on Linux and open source software, that take its name after the non-profit organization that has created it.
Linux is a family of Unix-like open source operating systems base on Linux Kernel.
LPI comes in the form of eight modules, divided in two levels:
Ability to use basic console line editor and demonstrate an understanding of processes, programs and components of the Linux Operating System

Ability to administer small to medium–sized mixed networks

Have a working knowledge of DevOps-related domains such as Software Engineering and Architecture, Container and Machine Deployment, Configuration Management and Monitoring
lpic-3 enterprise professional mixed environment
Ability to integrate Linux services in an enterprise-wide mixed environment
linux bsd specialist
The BSD Specialist certificate requires passing a single exam. This exam tests skills in administering FreeBSD, NetBSD, and OpenBSD systems.
lpic-3 enterprise professional security
Ability to secure and harden Linux-based servers, services and networks enterprise-wide
lpic-1 linux administrator
Ability to perform maintenance tasks with the command line, install and configure a computer running Linux and be able to configure basic networking
lpic-3 entertprise professional virtualization & HA
Ability to plan and implement enterprise-wide virtualization and high availability setups using Linux-based technologies
